ARE AMERICA AND HER MEDIA - A MONOPOLY?
Reports are that AS FEW as 6 corporation have controlling interest of more than 75% of all news content now reported by main stream American media. These reports are explained and examined on the internet by not so main stream reporters. The reports I have read describe a monopoly being perfected on content and reporting, that is destroying all competition within the news business with regard to the gathering and sharing of news content and information. This can explain how a very few can control news information within our nation. Who are these six companies? Who controls these six companies? A blood trail? Many people are following the blood trail but what chance do they have of selling stories if this is true?
Within the monopoly frame there also appears some clever handiwork crafted for the internet. A collusion between government and private corporations? Fear, security, and schemes to create monopolies on the free web? Hmmmm... consider HTTP and HTTPS web addressing by providers. HTTPS is an encrypted web design to provide security it is reported. From a marketing standpoint, we can liken HTTPS on the web to digital television and HTTP web is then like the old analog television. Free analog television is gone. A converter is now needed to translate it into digital television. HTTPS is now attempting to replace HTTP in order to grow monopolies for a web encryption industry. New browsers flag http pages and/or http content on https sites and recommend to their viewers not to view it. Viewing is censored in this way and this is not discussed very much. Destroying competition by censorship, sounds like a ploy of the big dogs and their little pigs at the trough.
One example is Google sites, where they no longer provide http addresses for the Google sites web pages or web sites. If any YouTube videos are embedded on Google sites web sites, or if there are other http applications with information or stories embedded, the browser tells the viewer it is not recommended that they load that content and thus they censor and/or scare away a web surfer. If a reader follows this advise, the browser loads only https content and it will censor the http content. You can see an example of this at the the Free Web Press Google sites. https://sites.google.com/site/freewebpress2011/
If you follow the advise of your browser then only the https content will be loaded and much will be censored. If you click on the permission to load it you will see all the YouTube and other news that is http content. Now go to Google or other big web sites and look at the addresses of most of their web pages, including those used for search engines, they are mostly all http addresses... this is done so that the browser's never warn you not to view their content... for security reasons - . Clever tricks?
