His novel, a geological thriller, uses Galileo as a character circa 1601 when he makes a surprising discovery while on a cave exploration, and flashes forward to today, when a group of paleontologists make a similar find on a dig in Montana. John Greenewald of the Black Vault, whom Grossman modeled the character "Richard Greene" after in his novel, also joined the conversation for a segment. In the book, the Greene character reveals various amazing human artifacts that date back millions of years.
